Should Christians give thanks or pray to the universe?

Should we be praying & thanking the universe?

This is such a big question and I've seen so many people thank and pray to the universe.

My prayer is that this message will bring light and truth not shame or anything else. It’s all in love that you walk in truth!

Here goes, the universe is not God. It’s not all one in the same like I’ve heard it said.

The universe is a creation, not a Creator. Creations can be respected and admired, but they should not to be worshipped.

Romans 1:25 is clear on this: “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator, who is forever praised. Amen.”

For more on this…check out my blog on this topic, I’ll have it up today and will share in comments.

When you thank or pray to the universe, you take the credit from God and we know that God is the one who created & is in control of everything.

Why would you want to take his Glory….all glory belongs to God?

Check out Genesis 1 & here’s a snippet for you,

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning…

Here’s some more scripture for you, don’t just read it, study it and ask Holy Spirit to give you revelation, understanding and knowledge on it.

Psalm 8:3-4

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

John 1:3

All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Psalm 147:4

He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.

So, the truth is, you are praying and thanking a thing that was created by God and making it into your god which now you’ve made an idol.

And God hates idols. Yes, God hates idols.

The universe is a receiver of being, not a giver of being and God just is……….The I am who I am!!

Using God interchangeably and thinking that God and the universe is the same is untruth, my friend. I still love you and God does too…….and for those who has ears to hear, let him hear.
