Changes in your Marriage

Tips that changed my marriage

Do you accept or reject change in your marriage?

I mean, in order for you to experience the marriage you desire, you must change!

My Husband and I had some challenges in our marriage and one day I asked God to fix him (and me too sometimes) because I thought I was good & his response what not what I wanted, he told me that he wanted to change me. Ha ha!

I couldn’t believe it, so I went with it. It wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it.

Many times when problems come up the first thing we want to do is complain, complain to our mom, complain to a friend(single ones at that) or whoever we complain to or do you call it venting?

We get their advice & never even asked Holy Spirit what to do!

Have you been guilty of that?

Well, can I help you really quick?

Complaining is not a fruit of the spirit.

Ephesians 4:29 says, “ Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”

Marriage is a holy thing regardless of the picture you’ve painted it to be & it takes being intentional about it.

You may be facing some challenges in your marriage right now, but I’m challenging you to invite Holy Spirit in your marriage.

Here’s a few things that Holy Spirit helped me with that changed the game for us!

1. I began to see myself as God did(it’s in the word) 2. I began to see my husband/marriage as God did 3. I began to speak life (scriptures) over our marriage regardless of what it looked like 4. I prayed over our marriage & stopped complaining about my marriage because my words were speaking death over my marriage and boom my marriage changed. (Faith & fear can’t reside together & when we complain more than likely it’s coming from a place of fear & doubt about the future. ) 5. I communicated truth (regardless of hurt feelings or offense) to my husband and we prayed for both of our eyes to be opened so that we could be & do better. (Yes many times I prayed by myself so if you don’t pray with your partner that’s okay for now, that will come, you pray )

Don’t give up because God is a God of the impossible & if you’re willing to do the work your marriage can & will work! Oh yeah & the enemy is going to make you think that God’s strategies don’t work but it’s a LIE!

That’s all for now & don’t forget, Mentorship is open, let’s be who God created us to be & watch how things begin to line up in your life!
